Meet Michiko Carter, Director & Founder of The Selected Volleyball Club. With over 10yrs of coaching experience, Michiko has coached HS volleyball, served as an assistant coach for the UNLV Men's Club team and taught volleyball at UNLV. In 2019, she launched The Selected Volleyball Club with a mission to create opportunity and access for youth in her community.

For Michiko, this journey is about more than just coaching-it's her purpose. She is committed to uplifting the community & growing alongside the athletes & families she serves. She's excited & ready for another impactful season ahead. 

With over three decades of volleyball experience, Ralph has cultivated a lifelong passion for the sport-beginning on outdoor sand and grass courts before transitiong into competitive infoor play. He has partipated in leagues and tournaments for more than 30 years and remains an active competitor today. 

Beyond his playing career, Ralph brings 25 years of multi-sport coaching experience, including softball, baseball and volleyball. His volleyball coaching journey began during his daughter's time in club volleyball, eventually lading him to serve as a head coach for both club & high school teams. Ralph's coaching philosophy centers on athlete development, with a genuine passion for helping players grow on and off the court. 

Denzell aka Bubba, is a dynamic athlete with three years of collegiate volleyball experience at both the Division I & II levels, alongside three years as a collegiate cheerleader. Currently competing his degree at Central State University, Denzell brings a unique blend of athleticism, focus and team spirit to every role he takes on. 

As a coach, Denzell is passionate about helping the next generation of athletes grow - both on the court and in life. His energy and leadership are rooted in a drive for excellence and a belief in the power of unshakable teamwork. This season, he's ready to inspire greatness and build a culture of confidence and unity. 

Meet Zaydeus, a passionate addition to The Selected coaching team. Currently studying Journalism at UNLV, Zaydeus brings a strong playing background, having competed all four years in high school as a setter and team captain. Through club play, he also gained valuable experience as a libero and opposite. 

Zaydeus is driven by a desire to help young athletes grow into confident, compassionate leaders-believing that true success goes far beyond the game. He's excited to build meaningful connections with players and make the most of every moment this season.
